Photo GalleryCLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Southeast Missouri (8-14, 1-8) fell 70-62 at Austin Peay (8-14, 5-4) on Saturday afternoon at the Dunn Center.
Jasmine Robinson and
Erin Bollmann led the Redhawks with 13 points while
Olivia Hackmann set a career-high with five steals.

Austin Peay opened the game on a 10-0 run and opened up a 23-10 lead before Southeast went on an 11-0 run. The Redhawks made seven of eight shots during that span to cut the lead to 25-23 on a layup by
Connor King with 5:33 left before halftime.

Hillary Lively pulled Southeast within one at 26-25 on a layup following a sharp pass from Hackmann with 4:13 remaining before intermission.

The Lady Govs then fought back with a 7-0 run and increased the lead to 38-27 as the teams headed to the locker rooms at halftime.

Bollmann paced the Redhawks in the first half with seven points while
Yelena Rosado scored six.

Kristen Stainback scored 13 points in the first 20 minutes, including a 3-for-4 line from beyond the arc.

Robinson scored eight quick points in the second half, including back-to-back 3-pointers to cut the lead to 44-37 with 16:27 remaining.

Hackmann and
Kaley Leyhue scored on back-to-back possessions to trim the lead to 48-42 with 13:43 left. With 11:00 remaining, Hackmann again pulled the Redhawks within six at 51-45 on a 3-pointer.

That was as close as Southeast would come as the Lady Govs held strong over the game's final 11 minutes. The Redhawks outscored APSU 35-32 in the second half.

For the game, Southeast shot 39 percent (24-for-62) from the floor and 35 percent (6-for-17) from long range. Austin Peay converted 41 percent (26-for-64) of field goal attempts and shot 75 percent (15-for-20) from the free throw line.

Jennifer Nwokocha finished with a game-high 16 points for the Lady Govs while Beth Rates recorded a double-double with 12 points and 16 rebounds. Briane Alexander and Stainback finished with 15 and 14 points, respectively.

Rosado scored 10 points for the Redhawks. In addition to the career-high in steals, Hackmann scored nine points and dished out four assists.
Brianna Mitchell added nine points off the bench.
