Valeriia Kashina and
Melissa Martin each posted singles victories as Southeast Missouri (4-5) dropped a 5-2 decision against Arkansas State (4-4) Saturday afternoon at the Allen Park Community Center.
"As a team, we were not able to convert the important points," said Southeast head coach

Martin evened her singles record to 4-4 with a, 7-5, 6-4, win over Victoria Pisani in the No. 6 position.
ASU secured the other four singles points and swept the Redhawks in doubles action. Slijepcevic/Julie Nowland and Jess Heeps-Eriksen/Pisani won close matches at the No. 1 and No. 3 doubles spots, respectively.
Southeast, which has lost three in a row, returns to action at Arkansas-Pine Bluff Sunday.
