AMES, Iowa – After a busy Friday for the Southeast Missouri track and field teams in three separate locations, the teams closed the weekend solely at the Iowa State Classic, Saturday. Southeast competed in just four events Saturday.
Kevin Farley picked up a second-place throw in the shot put with a heave of 58'3.00". Shon Kyle placed 13th with a throw of 52'0.5".
On the women's side, Courtney Gapelu placed sixth with a toss of 48'3.50" as Kayla Gutierrez earned 18th-place (41'3.00").
Ayonna Cartwright earned fifth-place in the 60m dash in 7.70 seconds.
Chris Navarro finished the 60m hurdles in eighth-place in 8.55 seconds.
The Redhawks will host their only indoor home meet of the season Friday, Feb. 21 at the Student Recreation Center – North.
