JACKSONVILLE, Ala. – Jenna Collingridge scored her first two career goals to lead Southeast Missouri (10-5, 7-2 OVC) to a 3-0 victory over Jacksonville State (9-9, 5-4 OVC) on Sunday afternoon at the JSU Soccer Complex. Kindra Lierz and the Redhawks defensive unit notched its eighth shutout of the season.

The Redhawks will now play at SIU Edwardsville on Friday, Oct. 31 at 7 p.m. in a matchup that will determine the Ohio Valley Conference regular season champion. The victorious team will then host the OVC Tournament at its respective campus site. The OVC Tournament is scheduled for Nov. 6-9.

"As a team, we are performing at a very high level, and that's a testament to the contribution that every member of our team makes to our program," head coach Heather Nelson said. "Our speed of play, transition and overall commitment to getting numbers forward in the attack and back in defense was outstanding all weekend. I give credit to our players for taking personal responsibility for their fitness during the summer and to their total commitment to deepening on our team fitness from week-to-week. We couldn't be more excited to have earned the opportunity to compete for the OVC regular season championship on Friday."

Collingridge gave Southeast a 1-0 lead in the 27th minute with her first career goal on a shot from the top of the box. Sunni Kesenich earned her first career assist on the score.

The second goal by Collingridge came on a rebound off of a save in the 54th minute. Breana Beine was credited with her third assist of the season and now has recorded 17 points, which ranks second on the team.

"Jenna went into the game with a great mentality and when the opportunity presented itself, she cracked a great shot on the frame and beat JSU's goalkeeper in the upper 90," Nelson said. "In the second half, she doubled her effort when she let a second shot of the same quality go. It was a great confidence builder to get that second goal."

Natasha Minor clinched the game for the Redhawks with a goal from 15 yards out in the 82nd minute. It was the seventh goal of the season for Minor, which ties Beine for the team-lead. Minor leads the team with 20 points on the season. Jennifer Antonacci recorded an assist on the score, marking the third straight game that she has set up a goal.

"The third goal was a brilliantly- and perfectly-timed long ball from Jenny to Tosh. Jenny created an angle for herself and provided time for Tosh's run to develop," Nelson said. "With one touch, Tosh made the most of her chance and played the ball past JSU's oncoming goalkeeper. It was the second time in the last two games that Antonacci and Minor worked together to come up with big plays."

Southeast outshot JSU 15-14 on the afternoon, including a 6-3 advantage in shots on goal. Minor finished with a team-high three shots, including two on goal. Courtney Hurt recorded a game-high six shots for Jax State.

Lierz finished with three saves in the contest while Caroline Robinson made six saves for the Gamecocks.

The Redhawks have clinched a berth in the OVC Tournament and enter Friday's regular season finale at SIUE in sole possession of second place in the conference standings with a 7-2 record. SIUE leads the league with an 8-1 mark in conference play. The winner of Friday's contest will hold the head-to-head tiebreaker and earn the OVC regular season championship.
