NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Southeast Missouri (4-8, 1-3) earned its first Ohio Valley Conference victory of the season with a 7-0 win over Tennessee State (0-5, 0-5) Saturday morning at Tiger Courts.
Southeast improved to 17-2 all-time against TSU and hasn't lost to the Tigers since 2001.

Elizabeth Nyenwe (No. 2),
Jessica Courtnell (No. 3),
Melissa Martin (No. 4),
Heather Robinson (No. 5) and
Laura Garcia (No. 6) all picked up wins in singles play. Martin shutout Kryston Mason, 6-0, 6-0, while the other five Redhawks recorded a shutout in at least one singles set.
Southeast swept the Tigers in doubles competition, with Novikova/Martin winning at No. 1, Courtnell/Robinson taking No. 2 and Nyenwe/
Lauren Schaper winning at No. 3.
The shutout was Southeast's first of the season.
The Redhawks return to action when they head to Jacksonville State for a 10 a.m., CT, match Sunday.
