Redhawks vs. Ranked FCS Foes
No. 18/20 Tennessee State marks the first ranked opponent Southeast faces this season. The Redhawks are 2-12 vs. ranked Football Championship Subdivision opponents since 2004. Southeast's only win over a ranked FCS foe at Houck Stadium came against the Tigers on Oct. 25, 2008. Then-quarterback Matt Scheible scored the decisive touchdown on a 3rd-and-Goal in overtime of that game. TSU ranked 19th when it visited Cape  Girardeau that year.

Series History
The all-time series between Southeast and Tennessee State stands tied at 10-10. The Redhawks have beaten the Tigers five-straight times in Cape Girardeau dating back to 2002. TSU has not won at Houck Stadium since 1999 (35-28).

Peiffer Inches Closer to 300 Career Tackles
Senior LB Blake Peiffer currently ranks seventh all-time in career tackles (298) at Southeast. Peiffer, who has registered double-digit tackles in two of his last three starts, needs just two more to become the seventh player in school history to notch 300 career tackles. Joe Davis was the last to accomplish that feat when he accumulated 312 from 1990-92. Peiffer leads the team, ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference and 14th in the nation with 56 tackles (11.2 tackles per game) in five starts this season.

INT-imidating
Southeast leads the Ohio Valley Conference and ranks tied for second in all of Division I football with 10 interceptions. Six different Redhawks, including Tyler Brock (3), Branden Spann (2), Darrick Borum (2), Reggie Jennings (1), Josh Freeman (1) and George Neuhaus (1) have at least one interception this season.

Redhawks First in Rushing Offense
The Redhawks lead the Ohio Valley Conference and rank 14th in the nation in rushing offense, averaging 218.4 yards per game. Southeast has led the OVC and ranked among the top-10 teams in the nation in rushing offense each of the last two years.
