CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - The Southeast Health WebCast on KFVS12.com has announced its fifth season Fall Schedule, and 14 Southeast Missouri athletic events are part of the package.
All of Southeast's regular-season home football games, four soccer contests and four volleyball matches will be available on the internet free of charge at KFVS12.com. Both the live presentation and archived versions (posted several hours after the end of coverage) of these selected WebCasts will be available.
Current KFVS Sports Director Todd Richards is slated to announce the Redhawk football games. KFVS12's Brad Zaruba is scheduled to return to call Southeast's soccer and volleyball games.
Since the KFVS12.com WebCast premiered in September of 2007, the online video presentation has featured nearly 300 regional events, including local high school and college football, basketball, baseball, soccer, gymnastics and volleyball events, along with softball, parades and ceremonies.
"After four seasons, we've learned that the WebCast does not reduce attendance at the games," said Paul Keener, Director of Marketing for KFVS12. "It does allow fans, friends, family and alumni that can't make it to the games to see events that they never would before, especially for fans who live away from the area. We'd also like to thank officials at Southeast Missouri State, the Ohio Valley Conference and all the high schools involved for their great cooperation."
In an exclusive arrangement with Raycom Media, Inc., parent company of KFVS12 and 2080 Media, the station will stream full coverage, multi-camera events live at KFVS12.com. The content will also be archived for on-demand viewing following the end of event coverage. All WebCast content is available free of charge.
