Southeast Grabs Second Win
Southeast recorded its second win of the season with a 17-13 win over Austin Peay during Homecoming weekend on Oct. 22. The Redhawk defense gave up only three points in the second half, marking the fewest allowed in the final two quarters of a game this season.

Hamm-Bey Named OVC Newcomer of the Week
True freshman cornerback Tim Hamm-Bey doubled Southeast's season-total of interceptions when he had two picks against Austin Peay (Oct. 22). Hamm-Bey returned his first career interception 36 yards to set up the Redhawks go-ahead touchdown with 11:55 left to play in the third quarter. He finished with 62 interception return yards and also had a big pass breakup during the Governors last drive of the game. Southeast, which led the Ohio Valley Conference in interceptions a year ago, had only one interception in its first six games before Hamm-Bey's surge. He was named the OVC Newcomer of the Week on Oct. 23.

Movin' on Up
Matt Scheible moved to fifth all-time in career passing yards at Southeast when he completed 9-of-12 passes for 128 yards against Austin Peay (Oct. 22). Scheible also added 30 rushing yards on 16 carries. He now has 4,229 passing yards in his four-year career.

200 on the Horizon
Junior Blake Peiffer is on pace to become the second linebacker to hit the 200 career tackle mark this season. Peiffer currently has 175 in his first three seasons and needs just 25 more to accomplish the feat. Fellow LB Philip Klaproth hit that milestone earlier this year.

Southeast holds a 14-12 lead in its all-time series against UT Martin. The Redhawks snapped a five-game losing streak against the Skyhawks with a 24-17 victory in Cape Girardeau last season. Southeast is 6-7 against UT Martin at Graham Stadium. The Redhawks have fallen in each of their last three trips to Martin, Tenn.
