Quick Hits

There's No Place Like Home
Southeast played four of its first six games on the road this season. The Redhawks return home for four of their next five weeks of the season.

Mr. Milestone
Senior Matt Scheible hit three milestones in Southeast Missouri's 41-17 loss at Eastern Kentucky (Oct. 15). Scheible broke Southeast's all-time career record in total offense and became the first quarterback in Ohio Valley Conference history to get 2,000 rushing yards and 4,000 passing yards in a career. He carried the ball 16 times for a game-high 75 yards and scored both of the Redhawks touchdowns. Scheible also completed 11-of-22 passes for 174 yards. He now has 6,155 yards of total offense, 2,054 rushing yards and 4,101 passing yards in his four-year Southeast career.

Redhawks on Homecoming
Southeast is 10-10 in games on Homecoming since moving to the NCAA Division I level. The Redhawks have posted wins in five of their last eight Homecoming matchups.

200 in Sight
Junior Blake Peiffer is on pace to become the second linebacker to hit the 200 career tackle mark this season. Peiffer currently has 165 in his first three seasons and needs just 35 more to accomplish the feat. Fellow LB Philip Klaproth hit that milestone earlier this year.

Speaking of Peiffer...
Blake Peiffer continued his rampage on the defensive side of the football, adding a game-high 16 tackles at Eastern Kentucky (Oct. 15). Peiffer had four solo tackles and assisted on 12 others en route to his fifth double-digit tackle performance in six starts this season. Peiffer, who leads the Ohio Valley Conference and ranks sixth in the nation with 74 tackles (12.6 per game), needs just 26 more to reach 100 this year. Nick Stauffer, who currently coaches the safeties, was the last Redhawk player to get 100 tackles in a season when he had a single-season school record 150 in 2008.

Cobb Makes College Debut
True freshman running back AJ Cobb made his collegiate debut at Eastern Kentucky (Oct. 15). Cobb played in Southeast's final two series of the game. He gained 12 yards on the first rushing attempt of his career and later ripped off an 11-yard run early in the fourth quarter. Cobb, who hails from Oklahoma City, Okla., finished as the team's second-leading rusher with 39 yards on eight carries against the Colonels. Cobb moved up the depth chart after starting tailback Levi Terrell suffered a season-ending injury at Tennessee State (Oct. 8).

Man with a Purpose
Redshirt-freshman Spencer Davis ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference and 22nd in the nation with 144.2 all-purpose yards per game. Davis registered a season-high 230 all-purpose yards at Eastern Kentucky (Oct. 15). He became the second Southeast receiver to get 100 yards in a game this season when he caught three passes for 116 yards. Davis also added 21 yard rushing and 93 yards on returns in that game. It marked the second time this year where he finished with 180 or more all-purpose yards.

Series History
Southeast owns a 9-6 advantage in its overall series against Austin Peay. The Redhawks and Governors have split their last four meetings with the visiting team winning those contests. APSU has won in each of its last two trips to Houck Stadium. Head Coach Tony Samuel is 3-2 all-time against the Govs.
