Harris and Middleton Named to College Sporting News All-America Team

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. - Southeast Missouri center Sean Middleton and running back Henry Harris were named to the College Sporting News Sweet 63 Football Championship Subdivision All-America Team Thursday.

Harris, who earned multiple All-America honors, had a record-breaking season which saw him rush for 1,735 yards and 18 touchdowns. He was named the league's Offensive Player of the Year.

Middleton, the Rimington Award winner for FCS, earned first-team All-Ohio Valley Conference honors as part of an offensive line which led the nation in sacks allowed (0.50/game). The Redhawks also led the OVC and ranked third in the nation in rushing offense with 271.9 yards per game.

All 14 FCS conferences and 37 different teams are represented on the 63-player unit.

The Colonial Athletic Association topped all leagues with 13 selections, followed by the Southern Conference with 10, the Big Sky Conference with nine, the Ohio Valley Conference with six, the Missouri Valley Football Conference with five, the Big South and Southwest Athletic Conference with four each, the MEAC and Southland Conference with three apiece and the Patriot League with two.

The Great West Conference, the Ivy League, the Northeast Conference and the Pioneer Football League landed one player each on the squad.
