CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri State University senior Sandra Blake (Tri-Cities, Wash./Mid Columbia) earned the Midwest Independent Conference Gymnast of the Week title for the second week in a row after her impressive performance against the Air Force Academy. The win marks the ninth honor for Blake in her career and the third this season.

Blake was incredible against the Falcons leading the Redhawks to a win in the final regular-season meet of the year. Blake finished top four in every event, highlighted by first place on vault (9.825), beam (9.875) and the all-around (39.325). She tied a career-high on beam and set a career-best on all-around which also placed her sixth all-time in the Southeast record books.

The Redhawks return to action this Saturday afternoon as they travel to Normal, Ill. for the MIC Championships.
