FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (Saturday, March 11, 2006) Redhawks track & field star Miles Smith posted a 46.44 400-meter time to finish seventh at the 2006 NCAA Indoor Track and Field Championships on Saturday. His finish earned him Indoor All-American honors as he improved on his 11th-place showing at least year's indoor championships.

The St. Louis, Mo., native was named the 2006 OVC Male Track Athlete of the Year while also taking home OVC Male Athlete of the Championship honors. Smith won the 400 meters (47.54) and the 200 meters (21.66) at the 2006 O'Reilly OVC Indoor Track and Field Championships.
