Rob Likens Hired As Offensive Coordinator at Southeast Missouri

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - - Rob Likens, wide receivers coach at Temple the last six seasons, has been hired as offensive coordinator at Southeast Missouri State University.

Wide receivers at Temple established a new school record last season when three players surpassed 100 yards in receiving at Cincinnati on Sept. 20. The Temple offense set school records in passing first downs (135) and total offensive plays (859).

Under Likens' direction, current Washington Redskins wide receiver Sean Dillard made 130 receptions at Temple from 1999-2002, the most catches in school history.

Likens served as an assistant coach at North Alabama from 1992-1997 and helped guide the Lions to a 63-13-1 record that included three NCAA Division II national titles.

Prior to his collegiate coaching career, Likens served as the wide receivers coach at West Point, Mississippi High School from 1990-91.

He was a member of the Mississippi State football team for three years and graduated cum laude with a bachelor of science degree in math education in 1990. Likens earned his master of science degree in math education from North Alabama in 1992.

Likens will begin his duties on March 1 with spring football drills at Southeast scheduled to begin on March 27. The spring football game is scheduled for April 24.
