Chase Named to Second Team All-OVC

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. - Otahkian basketball junior forward Lori Chase was named to the All-Ohio Valley Conference second team as announced by the league office on Tuesday.

Chase, a St. Louis native and first-team selection for 2000-01, led the Otahkians in scoring this season with 16.5 points per game. She also ranked second on the team in rebounds (6.3) shot 44.7% from the field and made 29-75 (38.7%) of her three-point attempts. Before this season, Chase had only made four three-pointers in two seasons.

Chase's numbers ranked her sixth in the OVC in scoring, ninth in rebounding, sixth in free-throw percentage (80.1%) and seventh in defensive rebounding (4.52).

In 16 conference games this season, Chase upped her average to 17.4 points per game.

Tennessee Tech's Janet Holt claimed OVC Player of the Year honors for the third consecutive year. The senior leads the OVC in both scoring and rebounding.

Morehead State's Laura Litter was named OVC Coach of the Year after guiding her team to a 10-6 OVC mark which was good enough for third place in the league.

Murray State's Rebecca Remington was named Freshman of the Year.
