Morehead, Ky. - Southeast Missouri State University freshman Lindsay Zeiler claimed the Ohio Valley Conference individual cross country championship over a 5,000-meter course in Morehead, Ky.

Zeiler timed 17:52.20 to win the championship and earn Runner of the Year honors in the OVC. Kaci Pilcher placed eighth to claim all-OVC honors for the third straight year. Also winning second team all-OVC honors were Kris Woolf (10th), Brooke Woodruff (11th) and Anna Verseman (13th).

With Zeiler and Pilcher leading the way, Southeast Missouri finished second in the team competition behind Eastern Kentucky.

Chad Sierman led the Southeast men to a fifth place finish in the OVC championships with a 15th place finish. He timed 25:55.70 over an 8,000-meter course. Brian Whitehead placed 16th.
