Kaitlin Zink hit .353 with three runs scored, a double in five starts during the opening week of Southeast Missouri's softball season. Zink, who hails from Newton, Ill., posted a .412 slugging percentage and stole a perfect 4-of-4 bases, as well. She hit safely in four of her first five games this season, and registered multiple-hits in back-to-back starts (vs. Mississippi Valley State; vs. Grambling State). The Redhawks are currently 2-3 on the year.
