Joey Lucchesi picked up his ninth win of the season in Thursday evening’s start against Belmont. Lucchesi not only broke Southeast Missouri’s single-season strikeout record during the game, he also broke the OVC record. He now has 136 on the season, a figure that still leads the country by 10. Lucchesi started the game by striking out the side in the top of the first. He allowed two runs in the second inning but held Belmont scoreless his final four innings.
