Renee Kertz, who hails from St. Louis, helped the Redhawk soccer team pick up two crucial victories over the weekend. She made seven saves to shutout Eastern Kentucky, the then-Ohio Valley Conference co-leader, in a 1-0 overtime victory on Oct. 12. Two days later, Kertz added five more saves in a 2-1 win over Morehead State (Oct. 14). In 11 appearances, Kertz ranks third in the OVC with a 0.93 goals against average and an .859 save percentage. Her .897 save percentage against league foes is tied for first in the OVC.
