Adam Pennington was clutch out of the pen this week for the Redhawks. He entered Tuesday’s game at Saint Louis and pitched four innings of one-hit baseball en route to his first save of the season. Pennington came in in relief with one out in the fifth inning at Jacksonville State Saturday. He worked out of the jam and went on to pitch the remainder of the game, working four and two-thirds innings, allowing no runs on four hits and earning the victory. He struck out two in each performance and walked no one in almost nine innings of work. He shaved 1.37 points off his ERA this week.
