Nicole Humphreys was awarded OVC Female Co-Field Athlete of the Year at the conclusion of the 2022 OVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship in Murray, Kentucky, to sweep the award in 2022 both Indoor and Outdoor. She is the first Redhawk to earn OVC Outdoor Female Field Athlete of the Year since Sarah Hall in 2015. Humphreys earned Silver in Hammer, Bronze in Shot Put, and was fourth in Discus for 19 totals points as the Redhawk women finished second at the 2022 OVC Outdoor Track & Field Championship. Humphreys, a Jackson, Missouri, native, improved her personal best and SEMO program record hammer throw to 204-2 (62.24m) with consecutive throws of the mark during her second and third attempts. She secured Bronze in the shot put with a mark of 42-9 (13.03m) and added a discus distance of 150-4 (45.82m) for fourth. Humphreys ranks 23rd in the NCAA West Region (45th in the entire NCAA)Â for hammer throw in 2022.Â
