Freshman Lindsay Ockler registered a pair of First-Team All-Midwest Independent Conference performances as Southeast Missouri women's gymnastics finished fourth overall at the 2022 MIC Championship on March 18. Ockler captured the bars title with a career-best 9.900 with teammate Jolie Miller. It was the first MIC Bars Championship for SEMO student-athletes since Alyssa Tucker took first in 2016. Ockler ranks tied for fourth in SEMO program history for the bars score. In the last three meets, Ockler, a Huson, Montana, native, hasn’t scored lower than 9.850 on bars. She was also the runner-up on vault, notching a 9.825. The mark was her third-straight 9.825 on vault. Ockler hasn’t scored lower than a 9.725 on vault in 2022. She also added a 9.600 on floor. Ockler paces the Redhawks in 2022 with 22 scores of 9.700 or higher and two individual event titles including the 2022 MIC Bars title.Â
