Tailback Geno Hess earned Ohio Valley Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week honors Sunday. A native of Peoria, Illinois, Hess ran for a career-high 205 yards and three touchdowns to lead a dominating rushing attack in SEMO's first win of the season over Tennessee State. He averaged 8.2 yards per carry on 25 attempts and scored on runs of two, 63 and eight yards, respectively. Hess scored two of his touchdowns in the third quarter. His 205 rushing yards are the most in a game by any OVC player this year. Hess helped the Redhawks' outrush TSU, 380-14.
