LaTrese Saine led the Southeast Missouri women’s basketball team this past week with 34 points (17 points per game) and 25 boards (12.5 rebounds per game) as the Redhawks split their home games against SIUE and Eastern Illinois. Saine notched a career-best 27 points coupled with 15 rebounds and seven blocks in SEMO’s victory over SIUE this past Thursday. She was 12-for-16 from the field and went to the break with 14 points after an 8-point opening quarter. Saine finished the week with 10 boards to complement seven points and four blocks this past Saturday against Eastern Illinois. For the week, Saine shot 14-for-24 from the field and hit 6-of-8 free throw attempts.
