Ashley Ellis hit four home runs in four games in a big opening weekend for the Southeast Missouri softball team. All but two of Ellis’ hits came on the long ball. She went 6-of-16 (.375) with six runs scored, a double and 10 RBI to lead the Redhawks to a 3-1 record. Ellis homered twice against Purdue Fort Wayne (Feb. 14) and hit a home run in each of her last three contests. She now has 30 home runs in her career.
