Reigning Football Championship Subdivision and Ohio Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year Zach Hall opened the 2019 season with 19 tackles against Southern Illinois (Aug. 29). Hall, who hails from Louisville, Kentucky, notched at least 19 tackles in a season-opener for the second year in a row. He had seven solo stops and assisted on 12 other tackles and collected 15 first-half stops against the Salukis to surpass 300 tackles in his career. Hall also added two tackles for loss and a sack. It was the 16th double-digit tackle game of Hall’s career.
