Stephen Zagurski claimed the hammer throw title Saturday at Birmingham-Southern's 'Southern Invitational at the Krulak Stadium with a meet record distance of 197-4 (60.16m). Zagurski, the 2019 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor shot put champion and weight throw bronze medalist, registered a 'Southern Invitational meet record hammer throw mark of 197-4 (60.16m) in his fifth attempt Saturday. The previous 'Southern Invitational hammer throw meet record of 59.30m was set by Kyle Kirby of Samford on March 11, 2011.
