Gagan, the first Redhawk to claim the award this season, had a huge week hitting .522 with three runs scored, three doubles, a triple, one home run and 10 RBI in five games. He had multiple hits in four of his five starts last week. Gagan narrowly missed hitting for the cycle when he went 4-for-5 with two runs, two doubles, a triple and career-high six RBI in SEMO's 17-1 win over UT Martin (Mar. 17). He followed that up with three hits, a double and two RBI in the Redhawks 8-7 win in the series finale. Gagan boasted an .870 slugging percentage and .542 on-base percentage for the week, as well. Gagan hit safely in six of his last seven games and posted multiple-RBI in three of his previous four starts.
