Denzel Mahoney scored a game-high 23 points against Big 12 Conference member Kansas State on Dec. 16.Mahoney shot 6-of-9 from the field, made two 3-pointers and went a perfect 9-of-9 at the free throw line. He scored 20 points in the first half alone. It was the fifth time Mahoney scored over 20 points in a game this season. He also went perfect at the free throw line with a minimum of five free throw attempts in a game for the fifth time in his career. Mahoney leads the Ohio Valley Conference in scoring with 19.4 points per contest
