In the shot put, Courtney Gapelu placed seventh in the shot put with a throw of 49' 11.5" at the Indiana Relays on Feb. 1. Gapelu's throw ranks 47th nationally and is the best in the Ohio Valley Conference this indoor season. More than 1,200 athletes competed during the two-day event in Bloomington, Ind.
