2021 Outdoor: Ran in three meets…Made Redhawks debut at the Southern Illinois Bill Cornell Invite (3/19-20), finishing the 1,500 meters in 5:39.38 (26th)…Posted a personal-best time of 2:39.69 in the 800 meters (28th) at the 2021 Drury Hotels Joey Haines Invite (4/2-3)…Also notched a PR mark of 5:29.60 (34th) at the Sycamore Open (4/24).
Prep: Attended Paul R. Wharton High School and graduated in 2020…Lettered all four years at Wharton, competing in the 800 meters, 1,600 meters and 1,500 meters track and field events along with cross country…Was coached by Kyle Lojacono at Wharton…Was a member of three Florida State qualifying cross country teams at Wharton including a fifth place finish…Qualified three times for State in the 800 meters and placed third in the event at the District Meet…Named Junior of the Year, Sophomore of the Year, and earned the Horizon Award and Freshmen of the Year awards at Wharton…Competed for the Trailblazers Youth Athletic Ministry (TYAM) club team and was coached by Regina McBride-Smith…Qualified for Amateur Athletic Union (AAU) Nationals as a member of Trailblazers Youth Athletic Ministry (TYAM)…Competed in swimming and danced ballet for 13 years…Has received the Academic Excellence Award and been recognized on the Principal’s and High Honor Roll at Paul R. Personal: Born on May 20, 2002…Daughter of Neil and Andrea Rivers…Is the third child in her family to compete in cross country and track & field at the collegiate level…Her brother, Tre Rivers, attends Illinois-Chicago and her sister, Bryanna Rivers, competes at Massachusetts…Has a passion for helping animals and is majoring in Biology: Wildlife/Conservation at Southeast.
