2025 Outdoor: Competed in eight meets…Earned 19 top-10 finishes, placing in the top three 12 times...Alewelt opened the season at the Ole Miss Classic with a trio of top-three finishes. He placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 49' 10.5" (15.20m), third in the discus in 164' 11" (50.27m) and a fifth place finish in the hammer throw with a mark of 194.4 (59.23m)...At the Pacesetter Sports Invitational he finished in the top-10 in all of his events. He placed 10th in the shot put with a throw of 48' 11" (14.91m), third in the discus with a 172' 10" (52.69) and fourth in the hammer with a mark of 196' 3" (59.82m)...He had a pair of top-nine finishes at the Crimson Tide Invitational, starting in the discus with a second place finish (174' 9", 53.26m) and in the hammer with a ninth place finish...At the Georgia Tech Invitational he threw the discus 173" 1" (52.75m) which was good for a third place finish. In the hammer throw he finished fifth with a mark of 196' 1" (59.77m)...Alewelt continued his impressive form with two more top-five finishes with a third place finish in the discus (171' 9", 52.34m) and fourth in the weight throw (192' 0", 58.52m)...He continued to rack up top-10 finishes at the Memphis TIgers Invitational with three more. In the shot put he threw 49' 7" (15.11m) for 8th place. He earned a runner up finish in the discus with a throw of 171' 0" (52.13). He also finished third in the hammer throw with a mark of 180' 2" (54.92m)...He earned his first PR of the season at the Sycamore Open in the discus when he reached 182' 5" and finished third. He threw for a runners up finish unthe hammer with a 191' 2" (54.93m)...Alwelt wrapped up his career with three podium finishes at the OVC Outdoor Championships. He had a pair of third place finishes in the shot put (53' .25", 16.16m) and in the hammer (197' 6", 53.94m). In the discus he finished second with a mark of 177' 0" (53.94m).
2025 Indoor: Competed in seven meets…Earned 10 top-10 finishes, including six top-three throws...He started the season at the Redhawk Invite with a fourth place finish in the shot put with a throw of 50' 10.75 (15.51m). He also did the weight throw and secured third place with a throw of 58' 6.5" (17.84m)...At the Show-Me Showdown, he finished sixth in the shot put with a throw of 49' 8.5" (15.15m). In the weight throw he finished fourth with a mark of 56' 3" (17.14m)...Next at the Rick McGuire Invitational he finished 21st in the shot put with a throw of 49' 7" (15.11m) and 15th in the weight throw at 58' 5.25" (17.81m)...Alewelt earned a pair of runner-up finishes at the Don DeNoon Invite. Finished with a mark of 52' 1.25" (15.88m) in the shot put and 61' 0" (18.59m) in the weight throw...At the second home meet of the season, the Redhawks Open he finished sixth in the shot put with a mark of 50' 8" (15.44m) and got his third second place finish in the weight throw with a toss of 60' 10.5" (18.55m)...Wrapping up the indoor season at the OVC Championships with two podium finishes. In the shot put he finished third with a throw of 52' 11.5" (16.14m). In the weight throw he finished second with a throw of 61' 5.75" (18.74m). Both of his throws at the OVC meet were season highs.
2024 Outdoor: Competed in one meet…At the Cougar Classic recorded a second place finish in the discus throw with a throw of 166’ 8” (50.80m) and recorded a mark of 192’ 7” (58.71m) in the hammer throw placing third.
2024 Indoor: Appeared in nine meets…Posted 11 top five finishes, including five top three performances…Opened the season at the Edmunds-Wilt Invite placing fourth in both the weight throw 57’ 4.75” (17.49m) and the shot put 50’ 10” (15.49m)...During the 2024 Redhawks Invite placed fourth and notched a new PR in the shot put (55’ 5”, 16.89m) and finished in fifth in the weight throw with a throw of 58’ 3” (17.75m)...Took home the gold in the shot put with a mark of 54’ 6.5” (16.62m) at the Bellarmine Open…At the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic recorded a throw of 60’ 10.75”, 18.56-meters in the weight throw (3rd) and placed second with a mark of 53’ 9” (16.38m) in the shot put…At the second home meet of the season, the Redhawks Open, placed fifth in the shot put (53’ 8.25”, 16.36m) and had a mark of 18.26-meters in the weight throw placing fourth...During the 2024 Indoor Ohio Valley Conference Championships, took home two top three finishes with a bronze medal in the weight throw 18.79-meters, which was also a new personal best. Then finished in second place in the shot put, throwing the distance of 52’ 10.25” (16.11m).
2023 Outdoor: Competed in all nine events…Posted 16 top five finishes, including two first place finishes…Began the season notching third in shot put (50' 5.5" 15.38m) and Discus (167' 5", 51.03m), while also placing fifth in the hammer throw, throwing for a distance of 185' 3" (56.47m)...At the Mississippi State Bulldog Relays achieved a new Personal best with a mark of 176' 2" (53.69m) in the discus throw…At the one and only home meet of the season Atwell threw for a distance of 175' 9" (53.57m) for the bronze in the discus…Tallied two fifth places and a first place finish at the Cougar classic, the first fifth place was in the shot put (49' 6.5", 15.10m) and the second in the hammer throw (193' 8", 59.02m), he stood alone atop the podium in the discus with a throw of 168' 2" (51.25m)...Notched a first place throw in the discus (170' 4", 51.93m), in the hammer throw and shot put threw for distances of 51' 7" (4th) and 185' 11" (4th) at the Arkansas Twilight…At the Ohio Valley Outdoor Championships finished top five in all the events he competed in, third and a new PR in shot put (54' 6.75", 16.63m), second in the discus (168' 1", 51.24m), and threw for a new personal best distance of 200' 11" (4th) in the hammer throw.
2023 Indoor: Competed in eight events…Posted seven top five finishes…Started the season placing fourth at the Edmonds-Wilt Invitational in the shot put with a mark of 51’ 9” (15.77m)...At the John Gartland Invitational set a PR in the weight throw (57’ 7”, 17.55m) for eighth place... In the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic Atwell bested his own PR in weight throw with a throw of 60' 5" (18.41m) and a fifth place finish…At the same meet finished third with a 51' 9" (15.77m) mark in shot put… At the 2023 Hoosier Hills finished fourth in the weight throw event with a throw of 59' 4.25" (18.09m)... At the 2023 Redhawks Open he placed fourth in both the shot put, 52' 2.75" (15.94m) and weight throw 57’ 9.5’’(17.61m).
2022 Outdoor: Competed in 10 meets…Had three top-three finishes…Opened the season with a third-place finish in the discus at the Jaguar Opener, throwing for 166’ 8” (50.79m)...Achieved at personal record in the hammer, throwing for 189’ 6” (57.75m) at the 2022 Joey Haines Invite which earned him a fifth-place showing…Set a PR at the 2022 Tennessee Relays in the discus with a 172’ 4” (52.52m) mark for eighth place…Placed second at the Memphis Tigers Invitational in the discus (159’ 3”, 48.54m)...At the 2022 Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, finished fifth in the shot put (51’ 5.75”, 15.69m), placed second in the discus (168’ 5”, 51.34m) and sixth in the hammer (176’ 5”, 53.77m).
2022 Indoor: Appeared in eight meets…Had a total of eight top-five finishes and three top-three performances…Set a PR in weight throw at the Fred Wilt Invitational, throwing for 56’ 8.75” (17.29m) en route to fourth place…Placed second at the Redhawk Invite in the shot put (50’ 4”, 15.34m)...Set a personal best in the shot put at Indiana University Relays, throwing for 53’ 4.5” (16.27m) which earned him a fourth…At the 2022 Don DeNoon Invitational, placed third in the shot put (51’1”, 15.57m)...Earned a fifth place finish in the weight throw (55’ 9.75”, 17.01m) and second in the shot put (53’ 2.75”, 16.22m) at the 2022 OVC Indoor Track & Field Championships.
2021 Outdoor: Competed in 10 outdoor meets…Achieved a personal best at the 2021 Joey Haines Invite in the Men’s Javelin Throw with a throw of 127’ 8” (38.91m)…Achieved a personal best at the Vanderbilt Black and Gold Invitational in the Men’s Hammer Throw with a throw of 163’ 9” (49.92m)…Achieved two personal bests at the Ohio Valley Conference Championships in the Men’s Shot Put with a throw of 49’ 4.25” (15.04m) earning eighth place, and in the Men’s Discus Throw with a throw of 159’ 11” (48.74m) which earned him third place for the event.
2021 Indoor: Competed in four indoor meets…Placed third at the Redhawks Invite in the Men’s Weight Throw (48’ 5.5”, 14.77m) and the Men’s Shot Put (46’ 4.25”, 14.13m)…Achieved a personal best in the Men’s Weight Throw with a throw of 48’ 10” (14.88m) which earned him seventh place at the Samford Bulldog Open 2021…Scored a 48’ 1.25” (14.66m) in the Men’s Shot Put at the Redhawks Open...At the same meet, Clay had a 47’ 11” (14.60m) in the Men’s Weight Throw, which earned him second place in the event.
