2023 Cross Country: Ran in three meets…Placed in the SEMO top five twice…Began the season with a strong 11th place finish in the 6k at the Redhawk XC Invite as the SEMO men placed first overall…Recorded two SEMO top five finishes at the Gans Creek Classic (9/29) and the Ohio Valley Championship (10/28), finishing in fourth (134th overall) and third (27th overall) with times of 26:36.9 and 24:50.02.

2023 Outdoor: Ran in six meets…Posted nine top five finishes including four first place finishes…Kicked off the season at the Mississippi State Bulldog Relays where he totaled two second place finishes in the 1500 (3:56.91) and the 4x800 (7:47.75) and a time of 3:18.37 (4th) in the 4x400…Notched two gold medals at the Joey Haines Invite, the first in the 800-meter when he crossed the line at 1:52.90, the second in the 4x400 (3:19.15)...Placed fourth (1:50.89) at the Joe Walker Invitational and third (1:49.83) at the Georgia Tech Invitational in the 800-meter…At Billy Hayes Invitational achieved a new personal record in the 800 when he finished with a time of 1:49.35 (7th)...Stood atop the podium during the OVC Championship for the 800 (1:50.64) and the 4x400 (3:13.00)...He also qualified for the 2023 Music City Track Carnival part of the PUMA American Track League, He crossed the line at 1:50.72 for fifth in the 800-meter Pro D section.

2023 Indoor: Ran in seven meets…Totaled 14 top five finishes…Posted seven first place finishes…Won one OVC male Track athlete of the week…Set a PR to start the season at the Edmonds-Wilt Invitational in the mile 4:28.29 (2nd) and in the 4x400 finished fourth with a time of 3:25.77…Posted two first place finishes in the 800-meter (1:55.42) and in the 4x400 finishing with a time of 3:28.27 at the Redhawks Invite…Placed second in the 4x400 recording a time of 3:22.40 and placed first in the 800-meter (1:55.42) during the John Gartland Invitational… During the PNC Bank Bellarmine Classic meet Garrett placed first in the 800 meter with a run of 1:52.40 and a fourth place battle in the 4x400 with a run of 3:20.17… At the Hoosier Hills Invite ran a 1:50.11 to break the Southeast Missouri State record in the 800-meter and a 10:39.65 in the distance medley relay to earn two first place finishes… During the OVC championship Garrett competed in the 800-meter running a 1:52:12 for second, second in the 4x400 running a 3:17.50, and second in the squad race DMR (10:39.65).

2022 Cross Country: Ran in five meets…Notched two top 12 finishes and placed in the SEMO top-five in every meet…Opened the season setting a new PR in the 6k at the Redhawks XC Invitational placing 11th overall but fourth for the SEMO men with a time of 18:59.2, where they placed second as a team…Took the top spot on the podium in the 8k finishing with a time of 25:35.6 at the Mckendree Bearcat Invitational where the SEMO placed first…During the Louisville Classic in the 8k ran a time of 25:52.7 placing 221st overall and fourth for the SEMO men…Posted another personal best, this time in the 8k at the Bradley Pink Classic with a run of 25:25.1 where he placed third for the SEMO men…At the 2022 OVC Cross Country Championships placed fourth for SEMO and 39th overall with a run of 26:49.3 in the 8k.

2022 Outdoor: Competed in six meets…Had nine top-five finishes…Took third in the 800 meters at the 2022 Joey Haines (4/1-2) in 1:52.03…Also was fourth in 4x400 meter relay (3:21.35)…Finished first in the 800 meters (1:56.40), second in the 1,500 meters with a personal best 3:54.91 and third in the 4x400 meter relay (3:21.11) at the Memphis Tiger Invitational (4/29-30)…Captured Gold in the 800 meters in 1:53.31 after qualifying first overall at the 2022 OVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships (5/11-13)…Also earned Bronze in the 4x400 meter relay (3:18.89) and was eighth in the 1,5000 meters (4:00.48).

2022 Indoor: Ran in six meets…Had 10 top-five finishes…Named OVC Male Track Athlete of the Week twice...Set a pair of personal bests in the 300 meters (38.00, sixth) and 500 meters (1:06.26, second) at the Fred Wilt Invitational (12/4)…Also was third in the 4x400 meter relay (3:29.22)…Won the 800 meters at the 2022 Redhawks Invite (1/15) in 1:59.30 and was second in the 4x400 meter relay (3:35.37)…Also set a PR In the 200 meters (24.70, seventh)…Won the 800 meters in 1:55.24 at the John Gartland Invitational (1/21-22)…Also was third in the 4x400 meter relay (3:25.76)…Notched a personal best in the 600 meters (1:21.65, seventh) at the 2022 Indiana University Relays (1/28-29)…Completed the 800 meters in 1:51.86 for third at the 2022 Hoosier Hills (2/11)…Secured Gold in the 800 meters at the 2022 OVC Indoor Track & Field Championships (2/23-24) in 1:53.13…Also earned Bronze in the DMR with 10:13.62 and was sixth in the 4x400 meter relay (3:30.72).

2021 Cross Country: Competed in two events in the Fall of 2021…Set a new personal record at the Soybean Invitational in the 4M completing the race in 21:54.9 (36th)…Ran the ISU Redbird Invitational 8K in 27:01.8 (90th).

2021 Outdoor: Ran in nine meets…Had 16 top-five finishes including two first place finishes…Captured Silver in the 800 meters and Bronze in the 4x400 meter relay at the 2021 OVC Championship…Qualified for the 2021 NCAA Division I West Preliminary in the 800 meters…Ranked 45th overall in the NCAA West Region for the 800 meters…Opened the season with a pair of fifth place finishes in the 800 meters (1:56.24) and 4x400 meter relay (3:23.04) at the South Alabama Invitational (3/12)…Took third in both the 1,500 meters (4:02.76) and the 4x400 meter relay (3:25.86) at the Southern Illinois Bill Cornell Invite (3/19-20)…Also was fourth in the 800 meters in 1:56.48…Won the 800 meters (1:55.02) and 4x400 meter relay (3:19.65) at the 2021 Drury Hotels Joey Haines Invite (4/2-3)…Set a personal-best 800 meters time of 1:49.44 for third at the Tennessee Relays (4/8-10)…Also was a member of the 4x400 meter relay (3:17.60, sixth) and 4x1,500 meter relay (17:09.39, third) teams at the meet…Notched a PR 1,500 meters mark of 4:01.07 (sixth) at the Vanderbilt Black & Gold Invitational (4/16-17)…Also was the runner-up in the 800 meters (1:50.48) and 4x400 meter relay (3:19.47)…Took third in both the 800 meters (1:52.37) and 4x400 meter relay (3:14.72) at the 2021 Kentucky Invitational (4/30-5/1)…Won Silver in the 800 meters at the 2021 OVC Track & Field Championship (5/13-15) in 1:52.92, after qualifying fourth…Also grabbed Bronze in the 4x400 meter relay in 3:18.36…Completed the 800 meters at the 2021 NCAA West Preliminary (5/26-29) in in College Station, Texas, in 1:52.31 (39th, prelims).
 
2020-21 Cross Country: Ran in four meets…Scored in all four meets in 2020-21 for the men…Opened the campaign with a personal-best 8K time of 26:24.2 (29th) at the Redhawks Invitational (1/23)…Completed the 8K at the Eastern Illinois Spring Open (2/6) in 26:49.0 (27th)…Posted a PR 4.5 mile mark of 24:20.4 (17th) at the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagle Invitational (2/19)…Crossed the finish line in the 8K in 28:56.2 (25th) at the 2020-21 OVC Cross Country Championship (3/1).

2020 Indoor: Ran in eight meets…Had 10 top-five finishes…Notched the fifth fastest 800 meters time in the OVC of 1:54.08…Placed first in two races…Made his Redhawks debut at the SEMO vs. SIUE Dual Meet (12/6/19), finishing second in the 800 meters in 1:58.76 and fourth in the 4x400 meter relay (3:47.20)…Placed fourth in both the 800 meters (1:59.15) and 4x400 meter relay (3:29.15) at the Gene Edmonds Memorial (1/10-11)…Also was sixth in 600 meters (1:23.99)…Won both the 800 meters (1:58.04) and the 4x800 meter relay (8:33.60) at the Missouri Intercollegiate (1/17)…Set a personal-best 600 meters time of 1:23.02 (sixth) at the 2020 Indiana University Relays (1/31-2/1)…Took third in both the 800 meters (1:56.37) and distance medley relay (10:45.47) at the 2020 Hoosier Hills (2/14)…Earned Bronze in the 800 meters at the 2020 Ohio Valley Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship (2/26-27) with a personal best 1:54.08…Also added to the Redhawks team total with a sixth place finish in the distance medley relay (10:37.00)…Named to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.

2019 Cross Country: Ran in all six meets…Made Redhawks debut with a 10th-place finish in a personal best 16:59.0 at the 2019 Saluki Invite (9/30)…Completed the Bradley Intercollegiate (9/20) in a PR time of 27:52.2 (52nd)…Finished 58th at the 2019 OVC Championship (11/2) at SIUE in Edwardsville, Illinois, in career best 27:34.0…Concluded the 10K at the NCAA Midwest Regional (11/15) at Oklahoma State in Stillwater, Oklahoma, in a personal best 36:47.9 (193rd)...Named to the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
