2014 Cross Country: Lawson capped off a tremendous cross country career when she earned First Team All-OVC honors at the OVC Championships with a 7th place finish in 17:42... Lawson earned First Team All-OVC honors all four years of her career; the only female Redhawk to do so... Started the season off with a 4th-place finish at the Gabby Reuveni Early Bird with a time of 14:47... Followed that up with top ten finishes at the Forest Park Cross Country Festival and the Saluki Invitational... Finished 14th at the Bradley Classic, earning her OVC Runner of the Week Honors.
2014 Outdoor: Competed in five outdoor meets... Ran a 10:20 in the 3000m race at the Memphis Invitational, finishing fifth... Won the 5000m race at the Joey Haines Invitational with a time of 17:36... Was the top-finisher at the Kansas Relay in the 10K race in 36:10, a season best and only two seconds behind her career-best... Finished fourth in the 10K at the OVC Championships... Finished 12th in the 5000m race... Recipient of the OVC Medal of Honor... Southeast Scholar-Athlete... Member of the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll.
2014 Indoor: Ran in five meets during the indoor season... Set a career-best mile time of 5:29 at the SIU Invitational... Finished third in the 5000m race at the Indiana Relays... Finished the 5K race at the OVC Championships in sixth-place.
2013 Cross Country: Led the Redhawks in all six meets Lawson competed in during the 2013 season... Placed first at both the Washington Early Bird (8/31) and the SIUE Cross Country Challenge (9/13)... Ran the fasted 6k in the OVC at the Bradley “Pink” Classic in a time of 21:20; placing ninth... Earned All-OVC honors with a second place finish at the OVC Championships (11/2) in a time of 17:49... Earned OVC Female Runner of the Week twice (Sept. 3, Oct. 22)... Also named one of six winners of the prestigious OVC Scholar-Athlete Award during the 2013 Cross Country season.
2013 Outdoor: Ran in seven meets… Named a Southeast Scholar-Athlete… Placed on the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Took fourth in the 5000m (17:44.85) at the OVC Outdoor Championships (5/3-4)… Clocked a career-best 16:54.85 to finish fifth in the 5000m at the Vanderbilt Invitational (4/19-20)… Notched four top-three finishes.
2013 Indoor: Raced in seven meets… Earned second-team All-OVC honors after finishing runner-up in the 5000m, breaking the indoor school record with a time of 17:28.21, at the OVC Indoor Championships (2/22-23)… Also took fourth in the 3000m (career-best 10:03.46) at the conference meet… Finished first or second four times… First-place finishes came in the 3000m (10:22.67) at the EIU Early Bird (12/7) and the 3000m (10:48.69) against SIU Edwardsville (2/1).
2012 Cross Country: Competed in all regular season meets during the 2012 season… Best finish for a 5K was at the OVC Championship (10/27), where she finished 7th with a time of 17:33.84 to earn first-team All-OVC honors… Led the Redhawks in all six meets she competed in during the season… Had three top-ten finishes during the season.
2012 Outdoor: Ran in seven meets… Named a Southeast Scholar-Athlete… Placed on the OVC Commissioner’s Honor Roll… Earned second-team All-OVC honors following second-place finishes in both the 5000m (18:21.81) and 10,000m (38:25.72) at the OVC Outdoor Championships (5/4-5)… Received the OVC Medal of Honor… Won the 5000m (17:54.68) at the Joey Haines Invitational (17:54.68)… Finished first or second in five races.
2012 Indoor: Competed in four meets… Took ninth in the 3000m (10:48.28) at the SIU Saluki Open… Recorded a career-best mark of 5:31.97 in the mile run at the Hoosier Hills.
2011 Cross Country: Competed in all meets during the season… Named to the All-OVC first team… Named Female OVC Runner of the Week for the week of September 27th… Finished sixth at the OVC Championships… placed in the top 10 in four of seven meets.
Prep: Three-sport athlete in Rockwood Summit High School… Ran cross country and track and was also on the swim team.
