Southeast Missouri volleyball teams heads to the Windy City to compete in the Loyola Invitational. The Redhawks will compete against the host Loyola Thursday night before playing Bradley and Alabama A&M on Friday.

Series History
Loyola
SEMO and Loyola have met six times and the Redhawks are looking for their first ever win over the Ramblers. In the previous six matches, SEMO only won three sets. The last time the two schools played was in 1997.

Bradley
The Redhawks and Braves will meet for the 10th time on Friday and SEMO takes a 6-3 head-to-head record into the match. The two teams havent faced off since 2021 in which the Redhawks defeated Bradley for the fourth straight time. The last time SEMO defeated Bradley was in 2005.

Alabama A&M
SEMO and Alabama A&M have met twice in the past and split both meetings. The Redhawks won the last meeting in 2022 with a 3-0 sweep. The first matchup came back in 2011 in which the Bulldogs won 3-1.

Big Weekend
Junior middle blocker Katarina Miscevic made her debut in a Redhawks uniform in the win against Evansville, before finding her groove on the weekend. At the Saluki Bash she had six kills on eight attempts while also adding six block assists, two aces and three digs.

Team Kills
The SEMO volleyball team has a combined .229 hitting percentage which ranks 119th in the nation and second in the OVC behind Lindenwood at .285.

All-Saluki Bash
Sophomore outside hitter Reagan Nelson was the lone Redhawk named the All-Saluki Bash team. Over the weekend she racked up 26 kills including a game high 20 against Southern Illinois.

OVC Top 10
There are Redhawks all over the OVC stat leaders lists. Lucy Arndt is sixth in the conference in kills with 62 and averages 2,62 kills per set which ranks seventh. Marin Johnson is seventh in hitting percentage at .267. Megan Holder is sixth in both assists (116) and assists per set (5.27). Arndt sneaks in the top 10 in service aces with eight

The Freshmen
In the 2026 recruiting class, SEMO brought in four freshmen, and all four have made an impact. Ava Mathews recorded her first kill against Merrimack and Brooklyn Ritter played in six sets recorded one kill and 18 assists during the Saluki Bash. Middle blocker Sydney Miller recorded a start in the second match against WKU and recorded one kill on four attempts. Paige Smith made her first appearance against Oregon and played two sets and finished with four kills on 10 attempts. She also added a block. In the past three matches she has 21 kills and two blocks.
