Family Weekend
•   Southeast Missouri (2-2) hosts #20 West Florida (2-1) during its Family Weekend Saturday. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m., CT at Houck Field.
•   SEMO wraps up a two-game home stand against United Athletic Conference opponents vs. the Argonauts. The Redhawks faced Central Arkansas (Sept. 19) in their home-opener a week ago.
•   After this weekend's matchup, the Redhawks will have their bye week before starting Ohio Valley Conference play at Lindenwood (Oct. 10).
Family Weekend Games
•   The Redhawks are 8-3 in Family Weekend games under Head Coach Tom Matukewicz.
•   Southeast Missouri won five of its last seven Family Weekend matchups.
Series Tidbits
•   This year marks the first-ever meeting between Southeast Missouri and West Florida.
•   West Florida is located in Pensacola.
•   West Florida is transitioning its athletics programs to the NCAA Division I level beginning this fall.Â

•   Tom Matukewicz, the third-longest tenured head coach in Southeast Missouri football history, is in his 13th year.
•   Matukewicz has led SEMO to program records in Ohio Valley Conference championships (3), NCAA Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) Playoff  appearances (4), nine-win seasons (4), victories over ranked FCS opponents (9) and OVC wins (50).
•   He is 69-73 overall and 50-37 in the OVC with the most overall and league victories of any head coach in the school's Division I era.
•   Matukewicz's 13-year tenure ranks behind Kenneth Knox (16 years, 1952-67), Abe Stuber (15 years, 1932-46) and J.F. Corleux (15 years, 1915-29).
•   His career record stands at 70-73 and includes one win while he was interim head coach at Northern Illinois in 2010.

•   #20 West Florida is the first ranked opponent Southeast Missouri faces this season.
•   SEMO has a total of 12 wins over ranked Football Championship Subdivision opponents during its NCAA Division I tenure, nine of which belong to Head Coach Tom Matukewicz.
•   The Redhawks upended then-#3 Southeastern Louisiana (24-23) in Cape Girardeau on Sept. 20, 2014. It was the highest ranked opponent SEMO defeated in program history.

Brickyard Game
•    Saturday is a "Brickyard" game for the Redhawks.
•    Anytime SEMO upsets a FBS or ranked FCS opponent, it displays the winning scores of those games permanently in the "Brickyard."
•     The "Brickyard" resides in the Redhawks locker room located at the Rosengarten Athletic Complex.
•    Against ranked FCS opponents, Matukewicz has a program record nine victories. His last "Brickyard" win was at then-#7 Southern Illinois (38-21, Sept. 21, 2024).
Home Dub
•   Southeast Missouri defeated United Athletic Conference member Central Arkansas, 27-9, in its home-opener on Sept. 19.
•   SEMO scored 17 points in the fourth quarter to seal its first win at Houck Field this year.
•   The Redhawks improved to 9-4 in home-openers under Head Coach Tom Matukewicz.
•   SEMO won its fifth-straight home-opener after previously beating Nicholls, 42-16, on Sept. 17, 2022, Lindenwood, 45-7, on Sept. 9, 2023, UT Martin, 45-42, on Sept. 7, 2024 and North Alabama, 30-21, on Sept. 6, 2025.
•   The Redhawks are 23-23 all-time in home-openers in its NCAA Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) era.
Final Non-Conference Matchup
•   The Redhawks host West Florida in their final non-conference game of the season.
•   Southeast Missouri is 2-2 in such games with a road win at Indiana State (23-21, Aug. 29) and a home victory over Central Arkansas (27-9, Sept. 19).

Harris-Norman Named OVC Co-Specialist of the Week
•   Khylen Harris-Norman was named Ohio Valley Conference Co-Specialist of the Week on Sept. 21.
•   Harris-Norman returned the opening kickoff 99 yards for a touchdown vs. Central Arkansas (Sept. 19).
•   His touchdown came just 17 seconds into the game and Southeast Missouri never trailed in the contest.
•   The 99-yard return tied SEMO's program record. Cameron Sanders also had a 99-yard kick return for a touchdown at Jacksonville State on Nov. 14, 2015.
•   It was the Redhawks first kickoff return for a touchdown since Dalyn McDonald scored on a 97-yard return vs. Central Arkansas on Sept. 24, 2022.

•   Justin Keller is 21-of-30 (70 pct.) in field goals during his career.
•   Keller is currently tied for ninth among Southeast Missouri's all-time career leaders with Craig Klafeta (21 FGs, 1986-87).Â
•   So far this season, Keller made 8-of-13 field goals. He leads the Ohio Valley Conference and ranks third in the FCS with two field goals per game.
PAT Streak
•   Justin Keller has not missed an extra point in his career.
•   Keller has made 41-consecutive PATs in his 41 attempts.
•   He scored 104 points and leads the Redhawks with 32 this season.
Take it Away
•   Southeast Missouri's defense forced a turnover in each of its first four games this season.
•   The Redhawks had a season-high three takeaways (one interception, two fumble recoveries) at Southern Illinois (Sept. 12).
•   SEMO has seven takeaways and won the turnover margin twice in 2026.
Touchdown Brown
•   Payton Brown ran for 81 yards and two fourth-quarter touchdowns on 18 carries vs. Central Arkansas (Sept. 19).
•   Brown averaged 4.5 yards per carry and scored on runs of five and eight yards.
•   It was the second multiple touchdown game of his career.
•   He has scored a rushing touchdown in each of Southeast Missouri's last two contests.
•   Brown leads the Redhawks with three rushing touchdowns this year.
Career-High for Christmas
•   Cyler Christmas registered a career-high nine tackles vs. Central Arkansas (Sept. 19).
•   Christmas had six solo stops, one tackle for loss and one interception, as well.
•   He ranks sixth on the team with 18 tackles.
•   West Florida makes its first trip to Cape Girardeau in 2026.
•   UWF is 2-1 overall and 1-1 in United Athetic Conference play. The Argonauts took their first loss of the season against #14 Austin Peay (38-16) on Sept. 19.
•   Quarterback Ty'ray Davis has thrown for 454 yards and six touchdowns in three starts.
•   Davis is also UWF's leading rusher with 182 yards and three scores on 46 carries.
•   Cameron Anderson is the Argonauts' top tackler with 25 tackles, six tackles for loss and 2.5 sacks.
•   Former Southeast Missouri defensive lineman Lucas Melo is UWF's recruiting coordinator, defensive line coach and defensive run game coordinator.
•   Melo played at SEMO in 2013 and 2014.
