Southeast Missouri volleyball (0-0, 0-0 OVC) continue its 2026 season with a standalone game Tuesday at Evansville before heading across the Mississippi River to Southern Illinois to participate in the Saluki Bash Friday and Saturday.

SERIES HISTORY
Aces
The Redhawks and Aces have met 26 times, and SEMO has controlled the series defeating Evansville 20 times. The two teams haven't played since 2023 when SEMO swept the match 3-0. The Redhawks enter the matchup on a four-match win streak including sweeping the Aces the last three matchups. The first meeting between the teams' dates back to 1983 when Evansville won 3-1.

Salukis
SEMO and SIU have met 35 times in the past and the Salukis have dominated the all-time series and leads 24-11. The Redhawks did win the last meeting in 2025 3-1, but that snapped a three-match winning streak for the Salukis. The series between the teams began back in 1977, in which the salukis won two matches against the Redhawks 2-0.

SEMO and Merrimack will meet for the first time.

SEMO Invitational
The Redhawks started its 2026 season at home hosting the SEMO Invitational hosting No. 25 ranked Oregon and Western Kentucky who was receiving votes in the initial AVCA poll. SEMO went 0-3 despite taking a set from the Ducks. In the set the Redhawks won, SEMO hit .306 with 12 kills to one error.

Oregon was the lone team to leave undefeated as the Ducks swept the Hilltoppers 3-0.

All-SEMO Invitational
Senior outside hitter Lucy Arndt and junior setter Megan Holder were named to the All-SEMO Invitational team for their performances over the tournament.

Arndt accumulated 32 kills over the three games on a .242 attacking percentage. She also added four service aces, six assists and six digs. Against Oregon, Arndt had 17 kills and a .444 attacking percentage. She had five assists in the second match against Western Kentucky.

Holder racked up 43 assists, 25 digs and two kills in the three matches. In the second match against Western Kentucky, Holder collected a double-double with 15 assists and 10 digs.

The Freshmen
In the 2026 recruiting class, SEMO brought in four freshmen, and all four saw playing time in the first weekend of the season. Ava Mathews and Brooklyn Ritter both played in one set but didn't record any stats. Middle blocker Sydney Miller recorded a start in the second match against WKU and recorded one kill on four attempts. Paige Smith made her first appearance against Oregon and played two sets and finished with four kills on 10 attempts. She also added a block.

Feed Her
Junior middle blocker Alaina Lester led SEMO with a .308 hitting percentage over the first three matches. She racked up nine kills on 26 attempts with just one error. She also had five blocks in the three matches including three against Oregon.
