The Southeast Missouri Soccer team looks to extend its winning streak when it travels to Evansville Thursday.

SEMO won its season opener 1-0 against regional rival Southern Illinois. Hayley Hogenmiller found the back of the net in the 43rd minute to give the Redhawks the advantage. SEMO also held the Salukis without a shot until the 54th minute and without a shot on goal until the 63rd minute.
This win is the first time since 2023 that the Redhawks won its season opener.
What A Debut
Natalie Allison recorded a clean sheet in her division I soccer debut. The senior goalkeeper made three saves and faced 10 total shots. Dating back to her time at Columbia College this is her 30th shut out in her college soccer career.
The Goal
Last season's leading scorer Hayley Hogenmiller found the back of the net in the opener off a corner kick from Jocelyn Alicia. Hogenmiller led the Redhawks with four goals and 10 points last season. Alicia recorded the assist in her first game of her collegiate career.

The Redhawks and Aces have met 18 times dating back to 2003 and SEMO leads the all-time series 7-6-5. Evansville did defeat the Redhawks in the 2025 season opener 4-3. The two meetings before last season the Redhawks went 1-0-1 and also won the first meeting in 2003,1-0.
