Redhawks Continue Road Stretch Tuesday at UT Martin
Southeast Missouri Women's Basketball (8-17, 4-12 OVC) will play their second-to-last road contest of the season on Tuesday evening, February 17, when they take on longtime Ohio Valley Conference rival UT Martin (13-12, 9-7 OVC) . Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m., CT. inside the Kathleen and Tom Elam Center in Martin, Tenn.Â

Tuesday's meeting will mark the 84
th time the Redhawks and Skyhawks have met on the basketball court, and the second time this season. Earlier this season, SEMO fell to UT Martin by a final score of 67-56 inside the Show Me Center. Overall, UTM holds a 50-33 record against SEMO in women's basketball. The Redhawks last victory in Martin, Tenn. came during the 2016-17 campaign with a 82-79 win on January 14, 2017.Â

The Redhawks suffered their fourth-straight loss on Saturday afternoon in a 78-67 defeat at Lindenwood. SEMO shot 51-percent from the field in the contest, led by
Carmen Taylor who was one-of-three Redhawks to finish in double figures. Taylor shot 9-17 and had 23 points which was a game high. Center

SEMO got another strong performance from their bench in Saturday's contest, outscoring their opponent off the bench for the second-straight game. The Redhawks scored 22 points off the bench compared to just 12 from Lindenwood led by Williams (12) and McCully (10).Â

Second Highest Points
Carmen Taylor's 23-point performance on Saturday afternoon marked the second most points scored in a game by an individual Redhawk this season. Taylor, a graduate student from Memphis, Tennessee, scored 23 points over 39 minutes played in the contest. She has now scored double digits in three-straight games and marked her 16
th game this season with double-digit points.Â

Ainaya Williams became the second Redhawk this season to record a double-double in a contest. Williams scored 12 points and hauled in 10 rebounds to lead the Redhawks in rebounding and points off the bench. The performance marked her second game this season with double-digit rebounds, the second most on the team.Â

Raissa Nsabua dished out five total assists in the contest on Saturday marking her sixth game this season with 5+ assists. In four seasons of NCAA Basketball, Nsabua now has 197 career assists. She has 92 assists this season and leads the Redhawks in that category, averaging 4.0 APG.Â

Southeast Missouri Women's Basketball currently sits on the outside looking in of the 2025-26 OVC Women's Basketball Tournament. The Redhawks currently sit in ninth place in the league, one game behind SIUE (5-11) who is in the final spot of the tournament field. With just four games left, SEMO will face UT Martin (Feb. 17), at Little Rock (Feb. 21), Tennessee State (Feb. 26), and Tennessee Tech (Feb. 28).Â

Kearra Jones continues to lead the Redhawks in rebounding through 25 games this season. Jones, who hauled in five boards against Lindenwood, is averaging 5.6 RPG and ranks 14
th in the OVC in rebounds. On the season, she has a total of 140 rebounds including 41 offensive rebounds and 99 defensive rebounds.Â
