Redhawks Wrap-Up Homestand Thursday Versus Little Rock
Southeast Missouri Women's Basketball will close its four-game homestand on Thursday, January 22, when they welcome in Little Rock (9-9, 5-3 OVC) to Cape Girardeau. Tip-off is set for 5:15 p.m., CT. at the Show Me Center on Thursday evening. 
 
Thank You Troops
Thursday evening continues a week of fun activities and recognition for all fans in attendance. Thursday's game marks 'Military Appreciate Night' at the Show Me Center as active and/or retired military members will receive one free ticket by claiming a ticket online in advance.

Series vs. Little Rock
Thursday's matchup will mark just the 10^th meeting in women's basketball between Little Rock and Southeast Missouri, and the first meeting this season. Overall, Little Rock holds a 7-2 overall record against the Redhawks and swept the regular season last year. The Redhawks last victory came during the 2008 season in a 57-45 victory over LR in Cape Girardeau. 
 
Tuesday Night Action
The Redhawks played their first game of the week on Tuesday night against UT Martin as the Skyhawks stole a 67-56 victory at the Show Me Center. Carmen Taylor led the Redhawks with 14 points, nine of those coming in the third quarter on three-straight three pointers. She finished the evening at 50-percent from three (3-6). Madison Ayers (12), Kearra Jones (11), and Ainaya Williams (11) all finished with double figures in the contest. 
 
Back-to-Back
Guard Da'Kariya Jackson led the Redhawks in rebounding for the second-straight night. Coming off an eight-rebound performance against SIUE (1/17) last Saturday, Jackson hauled in a team-high seven rebounds against UTM. She is averaging 7.5 RPG over the last two contests and has 38 boards on the season. 
 
Impact the Game
Graduate guard Raissa Nsabua impacted the game in other ways outside of scoring Tuesday night. The Ottawa, Ontario-native hauled in six rebounds and dished out five assists in 30-minutes of action. She pushed her season total to 83 rebounds and 74 total assists in 2025-26. 
 
Leading Scorer
SEMO has now played nine OVC games as graduate guard Carmen Taylor has led the Redhawks in scoring in four-of-nine games after Tuesday night against UT Martin. Taylor scored 14 points to lead the Redhawks and currently ranks 12^thin the OVC in scoring at 12.5 PPG. 
 
Spark Plug
Guard Madison Ayers has started three-straight games after coming off the bench in 14 games prior this season. Ayers, who has scored double-digits in two-of-her-last-three, is averaging 11.0 PPG over the last three including a career-high 16 points against Lindenwood (1/15). 
Bench Impact
Center Ainaya Williams played her highest total of minutes since the Morehead State game (1/10) on Tuesday night against UT Martin. Williams had an efficient 4-7 shooting night (57.1%) from the field and scored 11 points. She hauled in five rebounds as well, including three offensive boards, in just 14 minutes of action off the bench. 
 
Team Scoring
The Redhawks are currently ranked fifth in the OVC in scoring as a team. Through 18 games, SEMO is averaging 66.8 PPG having scored 1,203 total points. Western Illinois leads the OVC in PPG with 79.1.

Southeast Missouri currently ranks second in the Ohio Valley Conference in blocked shots, The Redhawks have a total of 65 blocked shots through 18 games this season, averaging 3.61 BPG. Center Ainaya Williams leads the Redhawks with 25 blocks through 17 games for a 1.5 BPG average.
