BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The Southeast Missouri Track and Field teams wrapped up the Indiana Invitational Saturday taking home two event titles and setting multiple personal best marks.
Event winners
Matt Pluff captured the high jump title after clearing 6-9.75, while
Marshall Swadley claimed first place in the shot put with a mark of 60-6.75.
Podium Finishes
Clara Billing earned a podium finish in the pole vault, clearing 13-3.5, and
Sydney Burdine placed in the 300 meters with a personal-record time of 38.83.
Other Finishers
Jonas Davis finished fourth in the men's 400 meters with a time of 34.61, and
Tyler Anderson recorded a fifth-place finish in the men's 800 meters at 1:53.6.
Micah Grawer added an eighth-place finish in the men's 800 meters, clocking a personal-best 1:53.9.
On the women's side,
Anna Thomason ran a personal-record 58.05 to place ninth in the 400 meters.
Kale Clements placed seventh in the 800 meters with a personal-best time of 2:23.1, and
Ceyda Bayur finished right behind her with a PR of 2:23.53.
Andreese Ortiz rounded out the results with a seventh-place finish in the shot put after recording a mark of 43-1.75.
The teams will return to the track when Southern Illinois hosts the Don DeNoon Invite Friday and Saturday.
