Madison Ayers with a Career-High 16 Points, Redhawks Fall Thursday Night

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. — Southeast Missouri Women's Basketball (5-11, 1-6 OVC) fell to Lindenwood (13-5, 5-2 OVC), 78-66, at the Show Me Center, with Lindenwood outscoring the Redhawks by 12 points in the paint. Despite a late surge with 27 points in the fourth quarter, the Redhawks were unable to close the gap.

First Quarter
- Kearra Jones opened scoring for Southeast Missouri with a jumper assisted by Raissa Nsabua.
- The Lions responded with Ellie Brueggemann's steal and fast-break layup, establishing an early lead.
- Brooke Coffey hit a three-pointer at 7:31, extending the Lions' advantage to 7–4.
- At the end of the first quarter, the Lions led 17–13.

Second Quarter
- The Lions initiated the scoring with a layup by Valerie Norwood early in the quarter.
- Mya Skoff extended the Lions' lead with a successful three-pointer at 7:26.
- Madison Ayers responded with a three-pointer for the Redhawks, narrowing the gap.
