Soccer Earns First Result of 2025 with 1-1 Draw Versus Little Rock

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.—Southeast Missouri State (0-10-1, 0-1-1 OVC) and Little Rock (2-3-4, 0-0-2 OVC) ended in a 1-1 draw on Thursday at Houck Stadium. The Redhawks earned head coach John Klein's first result of his division I career and earned a point in the Ohio Valley Conference table. 

First Half  
- The visitors' Jaeda Centeno scored in the 9th minute, putting Little Rock ahead 1-0.  
- Southeast Missouri State equalized in the 28th minute with a goal by Hayley Hogenmiller, assisted by Rachel Kretzer and Emma Cloud.  
- Holly Rimmer made a crucial save against a bottom center shot by Maggie Turner in the 23rd minute, maintaining the tied score.  
- Both teams entered halftime at a 1-1 deadlock, with each side converting one goal in the first half.

Second Half  
- Maggie Turner from Little Rock initiated an early offensive with a shot at 48:33, although it was off target.  
- Hogenmiller forced a save from Peyton Urban at 55:01 with a shot aimed at the bottom left.  
- Madison Geisler made crucial saves for the Redhawks, stopping multiple attempts from Emily Nahon and Maria Schuller.  
- Despite a flurry of shots from Little Rock, including several by Schuller, the score remained unchanged as Geisler consistently denied the visitors.
