CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.— Southeast Missouri State University (8-5, 1-0 OVC) swept UTM (1-11, 0-1 OVC) in a decisive 3-0 victory on Wednesday night at Houck Field House. The Redhawks dominated with set scores of 25-9, 25-18, and 25-16.
The Redhawks posted a hitting percentage of .375, highlighted by an 18-kill performance in the second set, while the Skyhawks registered a .080 hitting percentage overall.
First Set
- Southeast surged to an early 8-0 lead, highlighted by kills from Katherine St. John and
Lucy Arndt, along with two service aces from
Megan Holder.
- The Skyhawks responded with a 4-0 run, narrowing the gap to 8-4 with kills from Kayla Bryant and Carly Mueller.
- The Redhawks regained control, extending their lead to 13-5 with a mix of kills and a service ace from
