Redhawks Fall to Saint Louis Saturday

SAINT LOUIS, Mo. — Southeast Missouri Volleyball (7-5) fell in a tense five-set match at Chaifetz Pavilion on Saturday afternoon to Saint Louis (8-3) by a final score of 3-2 with scores of 25-20, 25-21, 19-25, 16-25, and 14-16. The Redhawks concluded the Missouri Challenge with a 2-1 overall record, with wins over Kansas City and Missouri State. 

Set 1  
- Southeast Mo. St. secured the set with a 25-20 win over Saint Louis.  
- Lucy Arndt led Southeast Mo. St. with four kills, contributing significantly to the team's offense.  
- Marin Johnson recorded a service ace, aiding Southeast Mo. St.'s momentum during the set.  
- Southeast Mo. St. capitalized on Saint Louis errors, particularly with five attack errors from the home team.  
- Saint Louis's Tamia Maddox contributed four kills but was unable to close the gap.  

Set 2  
- Southeast Mo. St. opened the set with a 3-0 lead, including a service ace by Nina Schuberth.  
- Alaina Lester contributed with two key kills, helping SEMO maintain their lead.  
- Arndt played a pivotal role with four kills in the set, leading to a 25-21 victory for SEMO.  
- Ramiri Gardner and Avery Torrey each added a kill, driving SEMO's offensive push.

- Southeast Mo. St. began the set with a 3-0 lead, capitalizing on attack errors by Saint Louis.

- Ellie Rink of Saint Louis was instrumental, recording several kills, including the final point to seal the set 25-19.

- Southeast Mo. St. opened with a 5-1 lead, aided by a service ace from Megan Holder.  
- Johnson contributed with back-to-back kills to push Southeast Mo. St. ahead 10-8.  
- Saint Louis rallied from a deficit, with Rink and Jetta Brenning combining for a series of kills that tied the score at 10-10.  
- The set saw multiple lead changes, with the score tied at 14-14 before Saint Louis secured the final points with two consecutive kills by Rink.
