CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo.— Southeast Missouri (0-8-0) dropped a hard-fought battle with Kansas City (5-4) at Houck Stadium on Sunday on 'Donate Life Day' in Cape Girardeau. 

1st Half
- Maya Domian scored for Southeast Mo. St. in the 14th minute with an assist from Justi Nelson, giving them an early 1-0 lead.
- Kansas City equalized with a goal by Ashley Koch in the 31st minute, assisted by Emilia Zolesio Fernandez Blanco.
- Madison Geisler of Southeast recorded four saves during the period, maintaining a 1-1 tie at the end of the first half.

2nd Half
- Kansas City's Kaitlyn Edwards scored early in the period at the 50th minute, putting the team ahead 2-1.  
- Southeast responded with two quick goals by Alyssa Schulte and Nelson, leveling the score at 3-3 by the 69th minute.  
- Kansas City secured the victory with a penalty kick goal by Olivia Platt in the 80th minute, finalizing the score at 4-3.  
- Geisler recorded a crucial save at the 57th minute to keep the game within reach.  
- Both teams created numerous opportunities, with Kansas City taking eight corner kicks during the period.
