Murray, KY. — The Southeast Missouri Soccer team lost on the road to Murray State 4-0 Thursday afternoon.
The Redhawks were limited to six shots with three shots on goal compared to the Racers who totaled 29 shots with 15 on target.
Murray State struck early when Kate Donoghue took a shot from well outside the box and found the back of the net for the opening tally. The Racers would strike again before halftime when Ava Roberson scored to take a 2-0 lead into halftime.
In the second half the Racers scored two goals in two minutes when Addison Howell scored in the 54
th minute and Sydney Etter scored in the 56
th minute.
Cayla Koerner got the start and played 68 minutes in goal for SEMO and had seven saves on seven shots on goal.
Holly Rimmer made her first appearance of the season playing 21 minutes and making four saves on five shots on goal.
Justi Nelson recorded the only shot on goal and led the team with two shots.
Maya Domian, returning from an injury, also recorded a shot.
Skylar Craft and
Rachel Kretzer also put their only shots on target.
Carson Bohnenstiehl also made her first appearance of the season, also returning from an injury.
