Evan Fuller and
Lexie Dockstader were selected to the 2025 OVC Cross Country Runners to Watch list, the league announced this morning.
Â
Fuller, a sophomore from Farmington, Missouri, raced in six meets in his first collegiate season, scoring for the Redhawks in four meets. Fuller set a personal best of 25:30.3 in the 8k at the 2024 Angel Mounds Invitational hosted by the University of Southern Indiana. He also competed in the NCAA DI Midwest Regional Championships when he ran the 10k in 33:04.1 (174th).
Â
Dockstader, a senior from Olathe, Kansas, was named to the list despite not competing last season. She has finished in the top 20 twice including a top 10 finish at the McKendree Bearcat Classic in 2022. The last time she competed was in the 2023 NCAA DI Midwest Regional Championships where she finished the 6k in a time of 24:51.2 (216th). Her personal best in the 6k is 23:21.3 at the 2023 Angel Mounds Invitational.
Everyone is already watching Garrett, Nick and Nova, but Lexie and Evan have made huge jumps in fitness from last school year and are primed for big seasons," said coach
Ryan Lane.
Â
Both athletes will open the season at the 2025 Redhawks Invitational on Friday. The meet is free and open to the public and will be staged at the Osage Center Fields. The men's 5k will start at 6:25 p.m., while the women's 5k follows afterward at 6:55.
