LUKE ALMODOVAR BANNER 1

Men's Basketball

Redhawks Sign Luke Almodovar

CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. – Southeast Missouri's men's basketball program signed shooting guard Luke Almodovar Tuesday.

A native of Noblesville, Indiana, Almodovar (6'2", 180) was one of the best pure shooters in the NAIA, leading Saint Francis University (Ind.) in scoring each of the last two seasons.

"We are excited about the skill set that Luke will bring," said SEMO Head Coach Brad Korn. "He has an excellent feel for the game and can do a lot of things at all three levels. He fits in beautifully with our system, program and values. Luke has a wonderful support system that mirrors the values that we value. We are looking forward to making him the best version of himself as a person and player."

In 2024-25, he earned First-Team All-Crossroads League honors after averaging 20 points per game in 30 starts. Almodovar led the Cougars in 3-pointers made (67), shot 49.7 percent (197-of-396) from the field and made 41.4 percent (67-of-162) of his 3-point attempts. He averaged 3.6 rebounds per game, dished out 31 assists, added 13 blocks and collected 27 steals, as well.

As a freshman, Almodovar averaged 17.9 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest. He shot 54.4 percent (143-of-263) from the field and 41.3 percent (45-of-109) from downtown. Almodovar also landed a spot on the Crossroads League All-Freshman Team.

Almodovar was a two-time All-Hoosier Crossroads Conference pick and Indiana All-Star at Noblesville High School.
