Lewis Qualifies for the 2024-25 NCAA Indoor Championship.

Cape Girardeau, Mo. - Paden Lewis qualified for the 2024-25 NCAA Division l Indoor Track and Field Championships in the weight throw.
The event will take place in Virginia Beach, Va. at Virginia Beach Sports Center March 14-15. The top 16 performances around the country in each event qualify for the championships.
Lewis will compete in the weight throw beginning at 6:05 p.m., EST.
The senior grabbed the last qualifying spot with a throw of 74' 6.25" ranking second in the SEMO record book. During the year Lewis competed in the weight throw nine times and placed first eight times while placing in the top three in nine shot put outings with four first place finishes.
The Missouri native also set a new SEMO overall record in shot put, throwing for a huge 62' 6" mark beating his own indoor record he set earlier this season and beating the outdoor record of 62' 1.25" set by Kevin Farley in 2017.
Lewis earned OVC Field Athlete of the Week a league high seven times while tabbing Male Field Athlete of the Year and Co-Male Athlete of the Championship honors at the 2025 Ohio Valley Conference Championship.
