OXFORD, Miss. - Southeast Missouri track & field ended day one of the Ole Miss Classic with 15 top ten finishes with nine being top five marks. The Redhawks also posted two new personal records during the meet.

Top Five Placers
In the women's hammer
Makenzie Williams placed fourth (189' 05") and
Baylee Beard notched fifth (172' 03").
With marks of 137" 10" and 122" (PR) freshman Kennedy Zgaynor and
Tayler Gudde placed third and fifth.
Clara Billing vaulted over a height of 12' 8.25" in the pole vault for fourth.
The men's hammer saw
Paden Lewis (204' 7") and
Clay Alewelt (194' 4") place fourth and fifth.
Josiah Kilgore threw for the silver medal with a mark of 194' 03" in the javelin.
Notable Performances
Bailie Hux achieved a throw of 167' 07" to finish in sixth and Andreese Ortix threw for a mark of 138' 00" (12th) in the women's hammer.
Molly Grohmann jumped for a distance of 18' 5.75" in the long jump for sixth.
Ava Dumke posted a seventh place throw (118' 04") and
Anna Thomason recorded a distance of 108' 06" for eighth in the women's javelin
Quinton Maxwell achieved a distance of 151' 00" in the hammer throw.
Cole Bruenderman cleared 22' 08" of sand for 11th in the long jump.
In the javelin,
Luis Schadlich placed ninth (149' 01") and
Jake Casey threw for a final mark of 143' 04" (11th).
Sydney Burdine and
Alaina Lester crossed the line at 25.15 (12th) and 25.18 (13th, PR) in the 200m dash.Â
With a mark of 23' 1.25"
Aarion Jackson recorded an eighth place finish in the long jump.
Day two of the meet will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the women's high jump. The last event is scheduled for 4:25 p.m. with the men's 4x400m relay.
